Men’s Bible Study

Inherent in the Lord’s Prayer is all the strength and compassion of our Father in heaven. In this six week introduction to the truths of God’s Word, we will examine the Lord’s Prayer phrase by phrase in a clear, understandable way. – All are welcome!

The First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Women of Hastings were created in the image of God, so we are called to be disciples for Jesus Christ empowered in the Holy Spirit. We commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness to the church, community, and the world.
Group 1: Meets the third Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m.
Group 2: Meets the third Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m.
Group 3: Meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.

When a child dies, at any age, the family suffers intense pain and may feel hopeless and isolated. The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope, and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or daughter, brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving family. Knit~Pray~Crochet/Prayer Shawl Ministry

A prayer shawl is a simple wrap knitted or crocheted with love and prayer to be given to someone in need. It is meant to bring comfort to the wearer and serve as a reminder of God’s constant presence. Many blessings are knitted into every shawl. The creator begins with prayers for the recipient. When the shawl is completed, it is offered a final blessing before being sent along its way. We meet the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Heritage room.

Middle mixers is a time for middle aged adults to get connected with those around them. Members will focus on devotions, prayer, and intellectual and spiritual growth.

Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in congregations that use the Stephen Series system. Stephen Ministry congregations equip and empower lay caregivers—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.
