Steven Neal

Intern for Youth Ministry (and cooler guy)
Steven joined the staff at First St. Paul's in September 2005. A Junior at Hastings College, Steven is way too busy, involved with Chapel Band, Beta Chi, and many more organizations. Steven was awarded the prestigious Kessler Scholarship for Christian Ministry. Steven majors in Political Science, and Religion and is minoring in Christian Ministry.

Steven is from Edgerton, KS where he was active in leadership of his local youth group. Steven helped organize city-wide youth ministry events and service projects.

Steven team-teaches the eighth-grade Sunday School class at First St. Paul's, and served as a sponsor for Soul Cafe.

Steven enjoys books, video games, conversations, playing his bass guitar.

Rev. Adam White

Really Cool Guy (even cooler than Steve)
Adam joined the team at First St. Paul's in July 2004 as the Director of Youth and Family Ministries. Adam received a call to the position of Associate Pastor in May 2006. Prior to coming to First St. Paul's, Adam served as a youth minister in Gardner, KS.

Adam has completed a BA (Hastings College, 2000) and an MA (Nazarene Theological Seminary 2004) in theological studies. He is an ordained minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA).

He also played with the award-winning Christian rock band "simpletruth" from 1998-2001.

Adam is married to Amanda (Wright) originally from Superior, NE. The Whites have two daughters, Sophia Grace and Olivia Joy. They also one dog, Mapel. Adam's favorite food is popcorn. His favorite color is blue. Adam currently has a mild obsession with the TV show 'Heroes'. Additionally he has been working diligently to master Wii sports.

Phil Joel and Casting Pearls

Summer's beginning with a blast this year! Hastings welcomes Phil Joel (formerly of the Newsboys) and Castings Pearls in concert May 22 at the Hastings City Auditorium at 7:00 p.m.

Dynasty Continueth

For the third time in four years, First St. Paul's won the Hastings Youth Fellowships' Dodgeball Tournament defeating 2006 Champion, Faith Lutheran, in the final.
In an extra game the coed FSPL team soundly defeated the Refs (a team made up of all male college students). One ref commented after the drubbing, "Man, those kids are good."
Carrie Hohlen recieved the most improved player award. After dropping two easy catches early in the tournament, Carrie caught four balls late in the contest to lead her team to victory.
Captain Brock Drudik explained his teams dominance, "Yeah. We're amazing."
